Manna AI ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Manna AI mobile application, available on iOS through the Apple App Store and on Android through the Google Play Store.
By downloading or using Manna AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Ever.
1. Information We Collect
Account Data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication. You may sign in with Google Sign-In or with an email and password.
Profile Data
To generate personalised meal plans, we collect:
- Age and dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian, halal, low-carb)
- Fitness or health goals you choose to share
- City or general location (city name only — we do not collect GPS coordinates unless you explicitly grant location access)
- Weekly food budget preferences
Usage Data
We collect information about how you use the app, including:
- Recipes you view, save, or generate
- Meal plans you create or modify
- MannaChat conversation content (used to improve AI response quality)
- Pantry items you log
Device Data
We may collect non-personally-identifying device information including device type (iOS/Android), operating system version, and app version number. This data is used solely for improving app performance and diagnosing bugs.
Payment Data
We do NOT collect or store your payment information. All billing for Pro and Family subscriptions is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Manna AI never sees your payment method or financial details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate personalised meal plans and recipes using AI, based on your profile and preferences
- Show you trending meals relevant to your city
- Save and sync your weekly timetable and pantry data across devices
- Improve the quality and accuracy of AI responses in MannaChat
- Monitor and improve app performance and stability
- Send you important account-related notifications (e.g., policy changes)
We do not use your data to show you third-party advertisements. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
3. Data Storage & Security
- All user data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, which encrypts data at rest and in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL.
- MannaChat conversation content is not permanently stored on our servers unless you explicitly save a recipe or response within the app.
- Recipe data and meal plans are cached locally on your device to enable offline access.
- We use Firebase Authentication, which implements secure token-based authentication and follows Google's security best practices.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. iOS-Specific Disclosures
- Manna AI complies with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and applicable Apple developer policies.
- We use the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. We do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
- Sign in with Apple is available. When you use Sign in with Apple with a private relay email, we store and use that relay email for authentication purposes only, as required by Apple's guidelines.
- No user data collected by Manna AI is shared with Apple beyond what is required for standard App Store operation and analytics provided by Apple's App Store Connect.
- All iOS in-app subscriptions are managed and processed exclusively by Apple. Cancellations must be made through iPhone/iPad Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
6. Android-Specific Disclosures
- Manna AI complies with Google Play's Developer Program Policies and Data Safety requirements.
- We declare our data collection and sharing practices in the Google Play Data Safety section of the app's store listing.
- We request only the permissions necessary for app functionality. Location access is requested at city level only (not precise GPS).
- Play Billing Library handles all Android in-app subscriptions. Manna AI never receives or stores your payment method. Cancellations are managed via Google Play → Subscriptions.
7. Children's Privacy
Manna AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the email below and we will take steps to delete the information promptly.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
- You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Deletion requests result in the removal of all associated Firestore data within 30 days.
- Locally cached recipe and timetable data stored on your device (via app local storage) is automatically cleared when you uninstall the app.
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics data that cannot be traced back to any individual may be retained for product improvement purposes.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
